Truman Brick Lane

<img src="/photos/1970/01/" />
The old Truman Brewery in Brick Lane, East London. Now a night club.

Processed using Dynamic Photo HDR by mediachance from a single RAW file. For single file HDR processing I haven't found any better software. I also cloned out some cables in the right section using Photoshop but no other Photoshop work was done.

A Victorian market hall built in 1887 which luckily for Londoners and visitors alike has some listed buildings at the east side and so could not be redeveloped (demolished) like the rest of the site.

Heavy Weather

<img src="/photos/1970/01/" />
Menacing clouds over the construction of new East London Line underground extension. This work is changing an entire landscape in this area, it will be interesting to see how it develops over the next 18 months, which is the scheduled completion date.

This image was edited using Dynamic Photo HDR from MediaChance which has more HDR options than any other piece of software I have ever seen. While this image is not specifically HDR, you can get some interesting effects when using single RAW files.

I haven't had a chance to fully explore the software yet, but the features, interface and the results I have had so far are impressive, certainly worth downloading the trial version. And at $55 US the full version is also quite reasonable. My only gripe at the moment, I wish the resulting output JPG would retain the EXIF data of the original RAW image.

A New Angle

<img src="/photos/1970/01/" />
This still to be completed building looks stunning in the sunshine.

I should apologise for a lack of posts here in the last few weeks. This is mostly to do with preparing a 7 double CD series of releases that compiles 98 tracks from myself and music partner Steve. Preparing this series, which is released tomorrow and one a month for the next 7 months has taken an enormous amount of effort in compiling, artwork, press, etc. etc. luckily enough the first reviews of this Archive Series are good. Anyway, the bulk of the effort is now done and I have just completed the final artwork for all Digipak and double CDs, 21 individual pieces of artwork in all !!!! So hopefully from now on it's back to more creative aspects of creating music and images.

<img src="/photos/1970/01/" />
A move back to the city for a few images. It's been a while since I posted some city pictures with its contrast of structure and people.

Here we see an new structure which is not finished yet, contrasted against an old office building that looks like it would have been transplanted from old New York.
